Way of Nonviolence: Rethinking Security

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Thanks to all who joined us last Thursday for our Way of Nonviolence Michael True Memorial Lecture on “Rethinking Security.” Mel Duncan, co-founder of Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) and its current Director of Advocacy and Outreach, gave an excellent presentation on NP, the world’s largest nonviolent civilian protection agency. Mel described the nonviolent strategies of conflict analysis, unarmed accompaniment, civilian patrols, and interpositioning explaining how these are being used to reduce harm in the Philippines, South Sudan, and Iraq, as well as the streets of our own cities.

Unable to attend last week? Check out the recording here.
