Open Call: Peaceful Futures
Lee Mingwei’s Our Peaceable Kingdom exhibition (on view through Feb 1) at the Worcester Art Museum showcases multiple visual responses to Edward Hicks’ painting of similar name, asking the question, “What is peace?”. Our thought partner, the Center for Nonviolent Solutions, has worked to provide education and resources that help the Worcester community reject the use of violence for resolving conflict and understand nonviolence and peacemaking as a way of life. In the spirit of envisioning and creating a safe, healthy future, both organizations invite you to share your visual interpretation of the question, “What does peace look like in your community?”
The Center is very pleased to offer this opportunity in collaboration with the Worcester Art Museum where Peaceful Futures will exhibit. The art show opens December 10 and closes February 20th, 2026 with a reception on February 7th, 2-4 p.m. All works for the exhibit must be submitted to the Worcester Art Museum no later than December 6. Open to artists of all ages. Show us what your vision of peace looks like. Details in link provided below.
